March 24.  Dani Evenson will lead a climb up Mount Jumbo up the winter route and traverse into Dan Moller Basin.    Contact Dani for more info about what to expect and gear. If you are interested contact Dani  dani_evenson@yahoo.com

March 31. Carl Reese is leading  a backcountry ski trip up Ben Stewart. This trip requires beacon, probe, and shovel and an understanding of how to use them.  If you are interested contact Carl (723-9323) before 7PM March 30.

April 7 or 8th. Peak 2687. This weekend (probably Saturday) Ben Still wants to ski or snowshoe Peak 2687, a peak up in the Eagle River/Yankee Basin area. Hopefully, there will be enough snow for good brush coverage. You will probably just need backcountry skis or snowshoes and I usually bring some spikeys (katoolas) just in case there is ice on the Eagle Glacier trail or really hard pack snow up higher.

Plan on Saturday unless the weather is looking better Sunday. People can email or call Ben if they want to join. Note, contact Ben at the email below; don’t respond to this email. benstill@hotmail.com  230-9897

April 15. Carl Reese is leading  a backcountry ski trip up Ben Stewart. This trip is likely the last real chance to ski this year since the snow is disappearing.  If you are interested contact Carl (723-9323) before 7PM April 14.

April 21.  Dani Evenson will lead a climb up Blackerby Ridge and if the weather cooperates possibly link it to Salmon Creek Basin.     Contact Dani for more info about what to expect and gear. If you are interested contact Dani  dani_evenson@yahoo.com

April 26.  Our next monthly meeting at the Island Pub at 6:30 PM. We will plan upcoming climbs and hikes. All are welcome. Come with ideas or to meet other mountaineering folks. this is when we build the calendar.

Long term planning.
