November 11. Veteran’s Day. Ice climbing Mendenhall Glacier. Pete Boyd is leading a trip to the glacier to climb ice on Friday, Veteran’s Day. The plan is to top rope and climb. You will need crampons, a harness, and ice tools. You may be able to borrow the latter. Access to the glacier will either be by paddling across the lake or hiking the West Glacier trail. November 19-20. Hike around Douglas Island. Alex Burkhart is leading a two day-one night trip around Douglas Island. This is a non technical but difficult trip. You will need to have some good quality cold weather gear. For more info contact Alex at firstname.lastname@example.org by November 17.
